A letter to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir
Sh. N. N. Vohra
Worthy Governor, J&K
Raj Bhawan, Srinagar
Subject: Erratic water supply in Rehari Colony area (Ward No. 24) Jammu since many days amounting to deficiency in service warranting fixing of accountability and initiating departmental action against the delinquent Chief Engineer Mr. Sushil Aima and Ors
Sir,
Public Civil Vigilance Cell J&K (CVC) is constrained to bring to your kind notice the aforesaid grievance of the consumers of ailing PHE Dept. depriving citizens of potable water which cannot be condoned in a civilized set-up.
Numerous telephonic calls and one-to-one interaction with the law abiding citizens of Rehari Colony regarding deficiency in service by Aima's Department is constraining us to send this communication which may be honorably disposed of by Raj Bhawan.
Respect others and you will be respected is an adage which is not honored by Mr. Chief Engineer. No one can violate human rights of citizens. A communication yesterday had been sent via e-mail to Mr. Aima but he is lost in his own world of make belief. Kindly also confirm whether the staff of Raj Bhawan at Srinagar, CE and top ranking Officers of PHE at Jammu are also thirsting for water like the aggrieved residents of this mediocre locality. Aima did not bother to respond to our e-mail. This is in consonance with the attitude in general of the servants of the people. Rehari Colony people also deserve a glass of cold water from Chashm-e-Shahi.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. S. K. Bhalla (Founder CVC)
Mohit Sawhney (I/C Youth Wing)
Dr. R. P. Singh (Member CVC)
Ms. Shashi Thakur (Aggrieved citizen)
