Rajnath's statement irks Pakistan, separatists
Jammu, March 24 (KIP):-Pakistan seems to have been scar e of Union
Home Minister,Rajnath Singh's latest statement that the Government of
India was willing to talk to all stakeholders. Islamabad is under a
mistaken belief that if Rajnath Singh reopens the channel's of
dialogue with the all stake holders it may sideline Pakistan which
claims to be the main party to the dispute.
That is the reason for the Pak High Commissioner Abdul Basit,
besides Pakistan President and the Kashmir separatists, especially the
hardliners, have reiterated that Delhi cannot solve the Kashmir issue.
While the separatists favour triangular talks Involving Pakistan
and separatists to berate India's stand on Kashmir.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani while reacting to
the statement of union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Thursday said
India was not sincere about finding a peaceful and lasting solution to
the Kashmir issue.
In a statement issued here, Geelani said Kashmir issue is simply an
issue for right to self-determination and the issue lists at top in
all other recognized human values.
Stating that sincere steps are needed to resolve the issue, he said
the egoistic and stubborn approach of Indian authorities was creating
impediments.
Geelani asked Indian authorities to shun its stubborn approach and
resolve the long pending Kashmir issue.
He said let India take initiative and honour opinion of its people as
they are craving for its honourable solution and acknowledge all its
pledges with regards to resolution of Kashmir issue.
“A new dawn of prosperity, peace and stability will commence once this
pending issue is resolved,” the Hurriat (G) chairman said.
“There is nothing new. It is simply rhetoric and formal parroting
about Kashmir problem,” he said while referring to statement of
Rajnath Singh in which he had said GoI was ready to talk to all
stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir to resolve the issue.
Commenting over Rajnath's statement that during his visit to valley,
he attempted to try out a solution to Kashmir issue, Hurriyat (G)
chairman said, “It is ridiculous and illustrates their arrogance. He
will never divulge reality and it is their deceit to mislead his
nation”.
“During unrest last year, Rajnath visited valley. However, he
preferred to maintain silence and didn't dare to reveal truth about
Kashmir issue,” he said.(KIP)
