PDP blames NC-Congress for launching a vicious campaign for winning polls

Date:

Tawi, March 22 (KIP):  For the sake of winning the Lok Sabha by-poll
in Srinagar and Anantnag the Conference and the Congress,
having forged a pre-poll alliance, have ridiculed the PDP for having
imported the RSS in . For the last over four decades the RSS
has been active in Kashmir though its activities remained limited to
holding indoor shakhas and conventions.
After the exodus of 3.50 lakh Pandits from the valley I n 1990
the activities of the RSS further were reduced to sporadic holding of
shakhas which used to be attended by a score of RSS activists.

However, for the sake of denigrating the PDP so that its candidate
in Anantnag constituency failed to win and the Congress candidate
emerged a winner. This anti-PDP campaign accusing the PDP for having
imported RSS to Kashmir is likely to help Farooq Abdullah who has been
fielded by the NC from Srinagar constituency. the National Conference
and Congress have assailed PDP for importing RSS into Kashmir, saying
that the politically sagacious people won't allow the machinations of
saffron social engineering to succeed in a pluralistic state like
Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress-NC combine has  berated the PDP, which according to
NC leaders, stands exposed for facilitating the RSS to spread its
tentacles, first by inducting its political constituent BJP into the
government and now by vitiating the atmosphere on communal and
regional lines”, senior NC and Congress leaders said while stepping up
joint campaign of alliance candidate Ghulam Ahmed Mir in
Annantnag-Pulwama Lok Sabha constituency and referred to alarming
developments of trampling the inclusiveness of the state during over
past two years.

Addressing the election rally here this morning, NC General Secretary
Ali Mohammed Sagar described PDP as carbon copy of the RSS, which, is
trumpeting the monologue of Nagpur and furthering its interests
overtly and covertly.

“After electoral victory in Uttar Pradesh and appointment of hardcore
Pracharak as Chief Minister, the RSS is emboldened to the extent of
spreading its tentacles subtly in the state. NC stood vindicated the
day PDP offered an olive branch to the BJP while forming the
government as it always believed the former to be creation of agencies
at the behest of top RSS leaders,” he said.

Meanwhile the senior PDP leader, Nizam-u-Din Bhat has accused
the NC and Congress leaders of throwing to winds political decency and
morality by blaming it for having imported RSS into Kashmir.”IT is a
big lie and the PDP forged an alliance with the BJP for not importing
the R SS but for ensuring speedy development,” he said (KIP)
