Dear Editor,

We the residents of this most neglected segment of the Bhalwal Block, opp. Central Jail, Tehsil, Jammu approach to your honourable self with the sad state of affairs let loose by the Power Development Department in the absence of any remedial action to redress our following long pending grievance;
In order to lesson the load of the existing Transformer at Patoli, the P.D.D authorities were kind enough to install one more small Transformer under the Honorable Prime Minister's Gram Udhyut Yojana' program some three years before. The new apparatus could cater to the needs of a portion of population of this area and could lesson the burden ton the old worn out one. Due to our bad luck the scheme remained stagnant at the point of installation of the Transformer because of the fact that they could nor spare any time to inaugurate the new apparatus so as to mitigate our perpetual vows or the department is in the look out of shifting it to some other locality of their choice so as to roast a fresh goose.
Now that the second fuse-line of the existing Transformer, installed some decades earlier, is not in working order and that the single phase becomes over-loaded during peak hours, the electric supply remains mostly cut off to a large area of this Mohalla with the result we are forced to remain high and dry in the absence of the proper electric supply during this season of acute humidity.
Yours truly,
S. N. Pandit
