NC, Congress need to play positive role notwithstanding LS by-polls
Jammu, March 29 (KIP):- By holding the BJP-PDP coalition Government
responsible for the killings of civilians the opposition National
Conference and the Congress indirectly incite people. This instigation
is the reason why people stage protest demonstrations at the sit e of
the encounters between the militants and the security forces.
Official sources said that these protest demonstrations at the
sites of encounters result in the killing of civilians. Hence as
opposition leaders it is the duty of the NC and the Congress to help
the Government I n restoring peace in the state.
In this context Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has pleaded for
promotion of peace which only could guarantee progress.
Opposition National Conference and Congress have slammed PDP-BJP
coalition government for civilian killings in Budgam with NC president
Farooq Abdullah telling the government to end bloodbath in Kashmir.
Farooq, who is NC-Congress candidate for by polls Srinagar
parliamentary seat, extended his heartfelt condolences to the families
of civilians killing in forces firing in Budgam.
By voicing support to those civilians killed in police action
Farooq Abdullah had eyes focused on the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat poll.
Why did he not utter similar feelings when 120 people were killed
during the five-month strike in clashes between protesters and the
security forces? He kept mum as his son, Omar Farooq headed the
coalition Government in the state.
The state Government is keen to resolve various issues including
energy crisis and problem of unemployment. As a result in the delay in
the resolution of unemployment problem educated youth have been lured
to militancy and most of them have joined Hizbul Mujahideen outfit
which is key to spate in the incidents of violence.(KIP)
