Hurriyat calls Farooq a ‘chameleon', terms his statement as election stunt

Srinagar, Feb 25 (KNS): Calling NC patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah as ‘chameleon', Hurriyat (G) on Saturday said that the statement made by the former chief minister wherein he had stated the youth joining militant ranks are fighting for freedom is ‘election stunt'.

Talking to KNS, Hurriyat (G) chief Spokesman, Ayaz Akbar said, “The statement made by Farooq Abdulla is aimed to befool the people of . It is only election stunt nothing else. He has given various statements against the militants in the past but now has changed his language. We don't take his statements seriously.”

He told KNS that they can go to any extend in the lust of the power and by issuing such statements, Dr Farooq is trying to befool the people to secure votes in the upcoming parliamentary polls slated to be held for Central and South Kashmir.

“Dr Farooq is playing nothing else. We don't know what he is going to speak in the future. Once they assume the chair, they fail what they have promised or what they have spoken,” Akbar said. (KNS)
