Jammu Tawi, May 26: The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir recorded season's second hottest day, with the maximum temperature today reaching 41.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum was registered at 28.0 degrees. ”Temperature in the last few days has fluctuated between 35 degrees to 40 degrees (maximum) and 25 degrees to 26 degrees (minimum) due to a brief spell of showers,” the weatherman here said. He said the temperature will keep soaring by June mid, with windstorm on some days. Earlier also, Jammu witnessed season's hottest day with maximum temperature recorded at 41.7 degrees, while the maximum temperature recorded on different days previously was 41.2 and 39.2 degree, respectively. The weatherman, however, predicted partly cloudy sky for tomorrow, with the maximum and minimum temperatures settling around 39 degrees and 24 degrees respectively. Doctors have advised people to stay indoors and increase water intake to prevent them from dehydration. They also advised riders to cover their face, wear full sleeve outfits and helmets to protect from sun burns and heat strokes.The weatherman said that Srinagar will have a clear sky tomorrow, with the maximum and minimum temperatures remaining around 31 degrees and 15 degrees, respectively. Leh will witness partly cloudy sky and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 25 degrees and 9 degrees, respectively.
